Empowering Your Journey Today | Fostering Hope for Tomorrow
A Heartfelt Message from Our Owner
Sometimes, we’re all just trying to get from Point A to Point B in one piece. Not everyone’s mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual journey is the same, nor is the path they each take a typical straight line. More often than not, there are plenty of twists and turns, ups and downs, side adventures and unchosen pathways, life-changing lessons, countless unanswered questions, and good moments and not-so-good moments — all of which create unique experiences, make life worth it but also harder than we could have ever imagined, and shape us into the people we are today. Like you, my journey wasn’t easy, and my family and I have sought our fair share of guidance. It is this journey that has led me to the counseling field and given me the experience and tools I use to help others.
You are on a journey right now, and you’re being tested like never before — whether it be addiction, depression, grief, unimaginable trauma, or a family issue. You need someone in your corner who “gets it,” listens with their entire heart, and wants nothing more than to empower you to maintain hope and keep pushing toward a better tomorrow.
My name is Meg Hamilton, and I created Pathway Life Counseling to help individuals and families like yours get unstuck and find a better path forward. I’ve been in your shoes and can relate. I’ve dealt with the emotional pain of infertility, adopted children with emotional wounds, and participated in the hours upon hours of family counseling that comes with that. I’ve committed to working on myself daily, and the more I opened myself and my family to the life-changing benefits of individual and family counseling, the more I realized how passionate I was about helping others in similar situations.
A little about me: While I was born in Washington, DC, I grew up mostly in the south Texas, Hill Country area. With a love for the outdoors and for science, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University in the Piney Woods of East Texas where I graduated with a Nursing degree. During that time I met and married my husband. We then moved to Dallas where we welcomed our four children into our family. After raising our children, I pursued and obtained a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University and afterwards was trained in Trauma and Chemical Dependency through The Meadows.
My desire in using my degree and life experience is to bring healing from emotional wounds, helping others relate in healthier ways and facilitate changes when stuck. I want to walk through your journey with you, providing a safe place to process and learn new, healthier ways of managing life struggles.
